Verenigde Nederlandse Cargadoors (VNC)
(Association of Netherlands Ship Brokers and Agents) The VNC was established in 2004 by its founding members, the local associations of ship brokers and agents in Amsterdam, North Netherlands , Rotterdam and Zeeland : ORAM Vereniging van Noord Nederlandse Scheepsagenturen Vereniging van Rotterdamse Cargadoors (VRC) Vereniging van Zeeuwse Cargadoors (VZC) Already decades before 2004 the several local associations exchanged information on subjects of importance for the ship’s agents industry in a more informal way . With the growing need to have contact on national level with the ministries on subjects like pilotage, customs, ict it was decided to form an official national umbrella organisation. VNC is represented amongst others in the Nationale Havenraad, the advisory board on ministerial policy matters relating to seaport affairs. The secretariat of the VNC is operated by VRC. |
