HMM (Netherlands) Shipping B.V. – Experienced Employee on the “Benelux Equipment Control Department”.

Due to replacement of one of its employees, HMM (Netherlands) B.V. is looking for an experienced employee on the “Benelux Equipment Control” department in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

For this vacancy we are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who knows his or her way around in an operational department. The department consists of 5 persons (m/f) of various ages/genders each with their own experience and scope of responsibilities. This department is overseen by the department manager. Considering the dynamic nature of the concerned department we are looking for a motivated, pro-active, process-minded and representative team player, who is stress resistant, has strong communicative skills and can (eventually) work and solve issues independently.

Purpose of the function
The purpose of the function is to independently handle all tasks pertaining to the job role at the optimal cost point taking the operational opportunities and commercial implications into consideration. We are looking for someone who will contribute positively and constructively to the performance of the Benelux Equipment department.

  • Education: MBO/STC
  • Languages: Dutch and English both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of and affinity with Microsoft Office and operational systems
  • Flexibility, both in thought process as well as in acting as a team player
  • Foresight, short- to mid-term

Empty planning

  • Empty Ocean/Feeder/Land Evacuation and supply planing
  • Reefer/Special Equipment planning

Stock Management

  • Optimizing Equipment utilization
  • Movement updates / EDI handling
  • Daily stock management of depots/terminals
  • Daily empty release planning
  • Daily empty delivery planning
  • Repair control (icw our M&R)

Off Hire management

  • Pre-advising off hire import returns to depots
  • Redelivery requesting with lease company
  • Arrange transfer/shunting for off hires
  • System processing off hires
  • Daily off hire report

We offer a competitive salary with excellent secondary conditions such as a fixed 13th month and a pension- and WIA insurance fully covered by the employer.
