ZIM Netherlands – Marine Operations coordinator (Antwerp or Rotterdam)

• Ensure proper preparation of and assistance during vessel calls. Covering container vessels in Antwerp and RORO vessel calls in Zeebrugge.
• Point of contact for vessel crew & husbandry agent
• Contact with the authorities.
• Ensure port logs are updated and guidelines adhered to

Cargo control

• To collect load port documents (manifests)
• To check and prepare customs entry via Portbase
• Ensures that load lists are submitted as per established guidelines.
• Contact with terminal and authorities on release issues.
• Follow up a scan or custom inspections requests.
• Coordination of out of gauge & break-bulk operations
• Issuing IMO requests, applications to Port Authorities (import, export & transit)
• Completion of IMO manifest and dangerous goods declarations.
• Follow up on ZIMonitor alerts.
• Handles terminal damage claims.
• Handles all shipping related claims with HO insurance & claims division and local lawyers, surveyors.
• Overall terminal supervision

Cost Control

• Ensures proper cost control / checking of incoming invoices.
• Recovery of additional costs

• A flexible attitude, can do approach, team player
• At least 5 years of professional experience
• Commercial mindset and proven track record
• Eye for process improvements
• Languages: Dutch mother tongue – proficient in business English
• Proficient with IT systems and particular with MS Office
